Colleton County Fire-Rescue, Station 27

Colleton County Fire-Rescue, Station 27, 421 Hamilton Street, Walterboro, South Carolina. Colleton County Fire-Rescue was organized in the fall of 1968, and incorporated January 14, 1969, as Colleton Rural Fire Department. The Downtown Walterboro station was originally Station 1, it was renumbered as Station 27 in 2004. This station was built in 1986, replacing the old station at the same site. Station 27 houses an engine, tender, medic and reserve medic and a foam trailer.

Colleton County Fire - Rescue, Station 35, 5278 Round O Road, Round O, South Carolina. Station 35 was opened in December 2013 at Ions crossroad and serves the area between Cottageville and Jacksonboro. The two bay station houses an engine and tender. CCFR was formed January 1, 1994 when the County abolished the 16 volunteer fire districts to create one department. The combination career/volunteer department runs out of 35 station.
