Vlad

Vladimir Guerrero was an Oriole this season. Vlad played for the Harrisburg Senators while moving up through the Montreal Expos organization, making the bigs in 1996. He played for the Expos until 2003, then moving on to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 2004 to 2009. After that he spent one year in 2010 with the Texas Rangers and this past season with the O's. A lifetime .318 hitter he had a .290 batting average this year. Other career statistics include 449 home runs, and on base percentage of .379 and 2147 hits. On September 26, 2011, just 8 days after we saw him play, he hit that 2147th hit which put him on top of hits by a Dominican born player. Vlad is also a  9 time All-Star and the 2004 American League MVP. Will he play again next year? Will he see his plaque in Cooperstown?

No, the in-laws called and said rained all Friday, all night and still raining. They called again at 4, still raining with standing water all over campground. Woke up Sunday to snow. I plan on going this weekend. As for the O's the only constant throughout the prolonged losing streak in the owner. Hmmmm! I think Vlad's got another year in him.
