Citi Field, Queens, New York

I did something Saturday that I haven't done in quite a while. We got up early and took the 4 hour drive to New York City. Through the Lincoln Tunnel. Driving in circles around 42nd and Broadway (the GPS does not like tall buildings and narrow streets). Finally across the Queensboro Bridge, through Queens to Citi Field. Our first ballgame in Queens since we saw the O's play the Mets at Shea Stadium in 2006. This time the Mets were playing the Nationals in a rare Saturday afternoon game. The Mets won this one 5-1. No homeruns for the home team though, so the apple didn't make it's centerfield appearance. LaGuardia Airport was busy as usual. Starting pitchers were Dillon Gee for the home team and for the Nats it was Tyler Jordan in his Major League debut. My at bat pictures are Ryan Zimmerman for Washington and David Wright for New York. More pictures will follow at a later time. Click on those panoramas at the top.
