Indian River County Emergency Services, Station 5

Indian River County Emergency Services, Station 5, 6580 Old Dixie Highway, Vero Beach (Winter Beach), Florida. Firefighting in Vero Beach was organized in 1921 and the Vero Beach Volunteer Fire Department was formed December 17, 1923. In 1980 they formed the South Indian River County Fire District and by a referendum vote in 1991 they became the Indian River County Department of Emergency Services (now IRCES). Station 5 was built in 1982.
