Coneheads
Red roadside wild flower, if I'd had only picked you,
Took you home and sat you on the counter,
Oh, at least a time or two,
Maybe she'd thought it through.

Home Sweet Gourd
This gourd hung in the Kwanzan Cherry out front for a year or more and there was no interest in it. I moved it to the back garden up on the hill by the veggie (pepper) garden and some House Wrens make it their home. Must have some young in there. They spent all afternoon back and forth, occasionally going inside.

Chinatown, DC
The entrance to Chinatown in Washington, DC. The Chinese Gate is at the corner of H and 7th Street Northwest. A lot smaller than Chinatown in Manhattan, it consists mostly of small shops and restaurants. The gate was built in 1986 and stands 60 feet tall. At the time it was the largest single span arch in the world.

The Lilies
Someone told me long ago,
There's a calm before the storm,
I know; It's been comin' for some time
When it's over, so they say, It'll rain a sunny day,
I know; shining down like water,
I want to know, have you ever seen the rain?
I want to know, have you ever seen the rain,
Comin' down a sunny day?
