Washington County Maryland Emergency Services Tribute Gardens

Washington County Maryland Emergency Services Tribute Gardens, 501 Virginia Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland. The 9-11 memorial, with a section of World Trade center steel, sits in the northwest corner of the park near the intersection of Key Street and Highland Avenue. The park was laid out in 1916, the memorial was dedicated September 13, 2011. Right next to the 9-11 memorial is a the Washington County, Maryland Tribute Garden. Dedicated September 9, 2008.

Verona Volunteer Fire Company, Inc

Verona Volunteer Fire Company, Inc., 304 Lee Highway, Verona, Virginia. Augusta County Station 6. Founded in March of 1959, they are a volunteer department with weekday supplemental staffing from Augusta County Fire-Rescue. The original station was a garage on a members' family property, that station was added onto in 1972. The current station was built in 1982 and underwent major renovations from 2003-2006. VVFC respond to about 800 calls per year.
