The Hunter

Today ended the first week of deer season here in Penn's Woods. The best I can say for the week is... wet. Three hours of rain on Monday, hunted 4 hours in the rain on Wednesday and Today? Snow. Big fat wet flakes. And deer? I guess it is deer season. Three. And those three came only when I adjusted my hunting area by 10 miles. Spent a day and a half on the south side and saw zip. Nada. Nothing. Nil. Thank You, PA Game Commission, I probably shouldn't tell you that I saw three deer in a week of hunting, now they'll have to sell more doe tags and take care of that. With no more vacation planned We'll give it one more try next Saturday. The picture shows my hunting partner trudging back to the truck after a snowy day afield.
