Tree Line

These dead and twisted tree remains way up in the high country of Colorado fascinate me. I mean more the the fascination that I am in Colorado. I don't know if it's just the way these trees look when they're dead or if in their dead state is showing us the life they've lived. I'm sure trying to grow on a barren east facing slope, somewhere north of 10,000 feet elevation, the winters are a little colder, a little snowier and a little longer. The wind pushing you towards downhill after blowing over the Flat Tops of north central Colorado would take it's toll. As they say,"It make you old fast".
