Of Elk and Hawks - Guest Post

Another Guest Posting from Grizz. His daughter is at Penn State Main Campus in State College, Pa. Colorado update: Today is my last full day of hunting.

I attached pics of the trip up to Winslow Hill. This bull was trying to cross the road around the time of 7:00 pm. Busy area with sightseers.

Talked to my daughter last night and she said that as she was leaving her apartment yesterday evening, there was a squirrel messing around in front of her. All of a sudden, this hawk swooped down and nabbed the squirrel, almost clipping her. The hawk landed a few yards away and she was able to snap this picture.

Wow that must have been an awesome site to see. Most people get freaked out and dislike the death part of wildlife, but it is part of nature and suvival.

Brad,

You are right with your comment, my daughter also took a short video of the same Hawk with a different squirrel. This was also right outside her apartment.
