Conowingo Dam Trip

They say that the week of Thanksgiving is the best time to see the Bald Eagles at Conowingo Dam. They missed it this year. On Sunday, Brad and I drove down to the dam on the Susquehanna River just south of the Mason Dixon Line. The parking lot just wasn't full enough to get excited. The cameras were there. But the birds just weren't cooperating. We saw, maybe, 25 eagles. I think only a half dozen actually flew close enough to us to get some pictures. Even the gull attendance to the party was lower than in the past. But the Black Vulture population was well represented. These are some of the few decent pictures I got.

I bet the Bald Eagles were sitting somewhere, waiting for the bird watchers and photographers to leave! ;-)

You got great pictures of the dam!
