Back in the day your local fire department was allowed to burn actual houses in order to teach firefighters how to fight a house fire. This house was damaged in a fire and when the owner was ready to tear it down he offered it to the fire department for training. After several training fires the building becomes too unsafe to continue and the fire is left to consume what is left.
