The Soul of Luxembourgers

This bas relief statue is in Luxembourg, a small country wedged between Belgium, France and Germany. I visited here in 1985 and took a lot of pictures. This lion represents Luxembourg. The top inscription is in Latin and reads "The Soul of Luxembourgers was Stronger than the Mountains and Rocks" The bottom inscription is in French and reads "The Heroes of the Armed Forces who died for the Homelands". 1940-1945

Like last year, it is March 1st and I am bringing it in with a Lion.
