One day into my Theme Week: Balloonfest and I'm changing things up. Instead I'm am featuring the Ceremonial Demolition of the University Lodge in Shippensburg. The old burnt out hotel is being razed to make way for the new Shippensburg Emergency Services Building tat will be the home of the Vigilant Hose Company #1 and the Shippensburg Area Emergency Medical Service. The ceremony took place yesterday afternoon and is a welcome sight to the many who have worked on this dream since 1982 and 1988 and 2004. Hopefully we break ground in the spring and move in early 2011. I know some people couldn't make it so here is what you missed.
