Cadillac Mountain

Cadillac Mountain at Acadia National Park on Mount Dessert Island in Maine was a hit or miss visit when the family vacationed there two years ago. Being the beginning of July one would expect warmer temperatures. One would be wrong. Most days on the island we were sweatshirted up until lunch time. 60 degrees was what it warmed up to by 10 or 11 AM. And forget about views, a constant fog kept the sightseeing close. I still found things to do while the rest of the truck was busy trying to find and take advantage of every square inch of cell service the could twist themselves into. Finally on the next to last day the skies opened enough to show off what so many people had told us about. What a view. The third pictures shows the town of Bar Harbor and to the left is Bar Island. The last picture was the view from Cadillac Mountain on our second day of sightseeing.
