Happy, Happy

Happy New Year, everyone. Hope you all have recovered from last night. Hopefully you're out of bed by now, at least. We stopped by the Anchor Drop on the square in Shippensburg for all of about 12 minutes last night. We got there just in time for them to raise the anchor just in time to drop it. Wouldn't you think that they should raise the anchor to celebrate a new year, a new journey? Welcome to Shippensburg. Walking was tricky with a fresh coat of ice on everything. And when the snowballs started we departed. A few revellers a block or two southeast of the square started setting off bottle rockets and other small fireworks. Then I went to bed. The end.
